I am trying to go a much more chemical free and natural route as well, but I've been taking more of a Burt's Bees and Tom's of Maine route with the toiletry items (including deodorant in lavender and apricot - or "original" for my husband who grimaced at the sight of the feminine/flowery/fruity scents), and a J.R. Watkins (pretty cheap at Target) and Method (also at Target but I wouldn't say that it is cheap) home care approach.

While it has been a bit more expensive, I am definitely happy about the changes. I've been using baking soda as a cleaner for years - though I have NOT tried it as a shampoo... I'm just not as wild and care free as you are, I guess :O) My mom always cleaned with it and things were white and bright (including our teeth every month or so), so I figured, why mess with a good thing.

Keep updating us with your natural care tips :O)mrs.deanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10203392428357626286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5854238256030137016.post-30238028728913499522009-06-10T11:07:01.680-07:002009-06-10T11:07:01.680-07:00I'm so trying the deoderant thing!!I'm so trying the deoderant thing!!Ashley Marie Rinaldihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11259557507856897484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5854238256030137016.post-89064311616219654982009-06-09T18:35:51.817-07:002009-06-09T18:35:51.817-07:00oh yes- quilting those lines was much easier once ...oh yes- quilting those lines was much easier once I got a walking foot. Do you have one? Also, I use blue children's chalk to mark my lines. It just shows up better than the quilting marking tools. So far it washes out pretty well.bettyninjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18374217999097706118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5854238256030137016.post-45931984009520156062009-06-09T16:38:16.017-07:002009-06-09T16:38:16.017-07:00I use it for cleaning my sinks!I use it for cleaning my sinks!bettyninjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18374217999097706118noreply@blogger.com
