Hi! My name is Jenn. I am a stay at home mom with three young boys, two of whom I homeschool. I'm married to a wonderful man who I met in Russia while my family and I lived there as missionaries. I love to create things, and my tastes are pretty widely varied. I love to sew, paint, write, sing, etc., and I hope that everything I do brings glory to God.
I started this blog in 2007 as a way to separate my personal family blog from my artistic and crafty pursuits, and also as a way of showing friends who lived far away what I was up to. Sometimes I start to feel the pressure of trying to make this blog "cooler", or I start lamenting my lack of good picture-taking skills, or feel like I'm supposed to do giveaways so people will follow my blog...and then I remember again why I started this thing here. Do I like that people read my blog? Sure. Do I get excited to see another follower add themselves? Of course!! But I'm not in it for the numbers. I'm in it for fun, because I like to do stuff. I like to read comments. I like to catalog my efforts because first of all, I'm uptight, and second of all, nearly everything I make I give away anyway. It's nice to be able to look back and go, "Oh yeah! I forgot I made that!"
I also blog about family stuff over at The Grigoryevs when I'm not too busy forgetting about that blog and putting family stuff in this one. ❤
