So after having mine and my kids disposable cameras sitting in my car for a month since our trip up north, I finally went into Walgreens yesterday to have them developed. The boys had been pestering me all week about wanting to see their pictures from our trip to D.C., and I knew I needed to just bite the bullet. Thanks to a really, really clueless photo worker, it cost me forty dollars to get them developed (!!!!). Sadly most of the pictures were pretty bad--I can't tell you how many times I told my boys not to take pictures indoors--but some of them were pretty cool.
These are my favorites of the ones I took:
Here are some of my oldest's:
Oddly enough, my three-year-old's pictures were my absolute favorites. Not only because he got some good shots, but because some of them capture his perspective so well.
It was really interesting for me to see what they chose to take pictures of. My oldest mostly took pictures of our family. The middlest took a million under-exposed pictures of museum exhibits, and of me. The littlest was all about the artwork and his feet. I love how their little personalities are so different, and how all of them are growing up with different interests and outlooks, yet despite their differences they love their family. I feel so blessed to have them as part of my life.
