Lynne of Lily's Quilts started a hilarious new Flickr group called "The rubbishest thing I've made", a place where people from all walks of life can post pictures of the crappiest, ugliest things they've ever made.
I do have much uglier things in my past, but unfortunately I don't have pictures of them, so for now I've nominated these two as my most recent pieces of garbage:
Deformed stuffies for Swaziland. Poor orphans. It's not bad enough being an orphan, but then some chick from another country decides to freak you out with some amorphous stuffed blobs and alien mammalian life forms.
Poo poo brown stacked coins quilt. Why oh why would I think brown was a good color choice? I think it's cause I was pregnant at the time and, y'know, it's hard to make rational decisions when you're gestating. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
Go check out the group, it's certainly worth a laugh and makes you feel much better about your own epic fails.

Hey, I kinda like that brown quilt top! But if you really hate it, you could always salvage the rows of coins and re-sew them to another solid. :)
Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder--I like the brown quilt top!
I think that top come out just fine. The brown does go well with the fabric you used for the 'coins'. Plus when you are changing diapers everything reminds you of what you just 'found' waiting for you.
