i'd really hoped to be able to post that i finally finished my giant DSQ knock-off, but alas, five stubborn inches of unfinished binding (curse my pregnant inability to calculate anything correctly) prevent me from honestly saying that i'm done.
still....close enough to post pictures!!!
the top...voila!
the cursed five inches...
the back--i love it as much as the front!
a close up of the quilting stitch...i used a meandering pattern because it was easy. plus it covers a multitude of screw ups...
all in all i'm pretty dang proud of myself. i think it looks great for my first quilt, and i love that i'll have it finished before my husband gets back from his work trip. i love surprising him with new things when he gets in from out of town. also it just feels great in general to have one thing crossed off my ginormous to-do list. yay for me!!

Thank you for your encouraging comment by the way. It was needed.
:)
I absolutely love it Jenn! I wouldn't even know where to start!
So impressive!! I tried one like this too- also since I loved hers so much. Yours came out way better I must say!
Okay, so I haven't peeked at your blog in a while...
This quilt is gorgeous! It's amazing! You should be so proud. AND of the other one you did with the Moda fabrics. I have some wonderland Moda fabric I'm trying to figure out what on earth to do with. Anyway. Your nesting bug is really doing some good, lady!
Hugs, Susan
